Hi, I'm David 👋

I'm a product designer working remotely out of Los Angeles. I currently lead digital transformation of enterprise insurance platform at EIS.
Previously, I designed at Liferay, an industry leader in DXPs (Digital Experience Platforms).
WHY
My ultimate mission is to help people and organizations solve meaningful problems in the world.
HOW
I strive to achieve the above mission by connecting business strategy with creative execution. Business identifies problems and opportunities. Design actualizes solutions. Together, they bring value to the world.
WHAT
I design products and services that meet all *stakeholders' needs delightfully, profitably, and ethically.
By *stakeholders, I refer to all of the following: Companies, Employees, Customers, Communities, and Environment.
STRATEGIST TO DESIGNER
I started my career in various marketing and brand strategy roles (primarily in e-commerce) before becoming a designer. Both Harvard Business Review (HBR) articles 🗞️ and Dribbble posts 🏀 equally inspire me.

BUSINESS + DESIGN
Working on both sides (business and design) has equipped me to thrive at the intersection of strategy and creative execution, cross-pollinate knowledge and skills between multiple industries, and effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

ON THE MORE PERSONAL SIDE,
I grew up in Seoul, South Korea 🇰🇷 , and moved to the U.S. 🇺🇸 at 16. I laugh more at Korean jokes and work better in English.
When not working, I hang out with my wife and doodle with my daughter. One of the current personal projects is to write and illustrate a children's book.
Have any question or would like to work together?
